Founder/Design Director

As the founder of Mushroom, I led the entire process of designing and engineering a hardware product, from initial concept to a fully-realized,manufacturing-ready design. I expertly utilized Solidworks and Fusion 360 to create detailed and precise models that seamlessly integrated into the manufacturing process, and I also leveraged my skills in Keyshot to create visually stunning representations of the product and its features, resulting in an enhanced user experience and increased customer satisfaction.

In addition to my technical expertise, I developed a cohesive brand identity that effectively communicated the unique value proposition of our product. I crafted design guidelines and materials such as product renders, website design, pitch deck, and logo, and created a comprehensive visual identity that accurately reflected our company’s core values and objectives. Through my leadership, we established a strong brand strategy that differentiated us from our competitors.

Overall, my experience as the founder and designer at Mushroom allowed me to successfully create a compelling product that resonated with our target audience, while also building a strong brand identity.

I originally planned to become a journalist because I wanted to try to make sense of the world and help others around me understand too. My love for products, though, spurred me to transition into design. As a designer, I'm grateful for my training as a journalist because I've learned how to ask, listen to, and interpret what users really want and need. These principles drive my design process and fuel my desire to create products that help people interact with and understand the world around them.
